How to tell if your internet friends are actual "friends"..

Hey GCC LOVELIES: Here's one for ya, and it's been bugging me for awhile.. Why is it that some people that "friend" you on these internet sites, MYSPACE, FACEBOOK, etc.. but when it comes to "actual" interaction,
that's non existent???
